Arranging a group safari in Uganda comes with a decision of which safari van rental suits the taste of the organizer.

The previous four years have seen justifiable arguments about the perfect safari van in Uganda. This has majorly been between the safari Toyota Hi-Ace drone and the Safari Land cruiser extended.

The comparison ranges between cost of renting a car, reliability, fuel efficiency, comfort/Leg space and number of passengers.

The Extended safari land Cruiser costs $140-$180 per day while as the Hi-ace drone ranges from $80-$110 per day. Rates include Driver, car insurance and exclude fuel.

Group travelers with intention of saving some money will choose the Toyota Hi-ace drone over the extended Land cruiser.

  1. Reliability

Here, we are discussing the likelihood of the car breaking down on a safari. Much as every car can develop issues on a safari, the Land cruiser extended has been voted a reliable safari van option compared to the Safari Hi-ace drone.

This shouldn’t mean that the drone cars aren’t reliable; they are just as note reliable as the Land cruiser extended.

The Land Cruiser Extended has sufficient luggage space for 7 persons. They are customized to have a rack on top for additional luggage just in case it doesn’t fit in the trunk.

Relatively, the Hi-ace Drone van can carry luggage of about 9 persons.

It is customized to carry additional luggage on top of the van providing more space for Luggage.

Despite all the above facts, both the Land cruiser Extended and the Toyota Hi-ace drone remain good choices for a safari. They are all 4×4 cars making them fit for the rarely maintained roads in the remote areas of the country and come with pop up advancements to enhance game viewing and photography.
